Principal
John’s diverse background includes 33 years experience in urban design, city planning, development consulting, public park and plaza design, mixed use development site planning and design, landscape architecture and public meeting facilitation.
He emphasizes sustainable planning and design solutions, whether that is a large-scale master plan or a private garden.
His work often includes developing and managing interdisciplinary teams on complex projects. John has the ability to clearly understand and communicate the overall project intent and direct the final planning and design to achieve that vision. He works closely with team members to develop solutions that are highly responsive to their cultural and physical context.
In addition to his role as a principal, John is a faculty member at the University of Colorado, College of Architecture and Planning, where he teaches urban design, planning, and landscape architecture.
John is also a licensed landscape architect in Colorado.
